Blogmas Day 10: Simplicity Is Key

As promised I'm finally adding a bit of fashion into my blog.
Although I still have not found the perfect camera, I decided I would stick with the iPhone quality for now.

I figured I would share with you guys what I chose to wear, keep in mind that I do live in California therefore the weather never reaches "winter". With that being said I also do attend school in San Francisco which does affect what I choose to wear because of its chilly winds.

I like to joke with everyone who mentions how cold San Francisco can get throughout the day. If you live in a chilly area like here you will agree with me that sometimes snow jackets aren't necessary if you know the secret to layering. I love layering because it allows me to keep warm without feeling indecisive if I'm hot or cold. It allows me to take a layer off and feel a bit more comfortable.

Shirt: Anthropologie
Button Down: Macy's
Parka: Old Navy

I have recently become obsessed with dainty jewelry as I mentioned in my Christmas wish list. For my birthday I received a pack of these crystal/rock necklaces and have fallen in love with either wearing them all together or one at a time. I just think it gives the slightest hint of detail without destroying the outfit apart.

Necklace: Macy's (Rachel Roy)

If you follow me on Twitter you know about my obsession with Alex & Ani bracelets. Although I do own a few I chose to only wear one as I was wearing too many layers to even tell that I had jewelry on.

Lastly I last minute decided to throw these babies on, and am now regretting every bit of it. I know remember why these had been hiding in the back of my shoe rack. They are about a few years old and still manage to cut my feet! Beauty = pain. Just kidding but I think the pink on the bottom really adds a bit of color and goes with the color scheme of the top. I also thought it was interesting to play around with different shades of grey through my shoes and jeans.

I did not have a camera man to take a picture of the whole outfit put together, and after attempting to use photo booth on my laptop.. I decided I would share bits for now. Hopefully I get better at these fashion and styling posts.
